Burke has been quoted as saying that he is looking for a trade to fill our 2nd line center hole. I spent some time looking at teams Rosters and figured out some possible trades Burke might be looking into. I realize some of these are pipe dreams and the trade values may be off. I also havent seen all these players enough to give a great analysis. What I looked for was:

1)Does he have enough Skill/Defense/Duck Style game
2)Is his cap hit low enough (-2 mil)?
3)Does that team have excess Centers?
4)Would that team be interested in our assets? (Schneider, Marchant, Picks, Prospects)

Matthew Lombardi 26
1)Questionable skill for a second line Center, good defensively, amazing speed. Plays a North south type of game.
2)1.8 mil
3)Flames have plenty of top Centers in Langkow, Cammi, Conroy, Primeau.
4)there have been rumors that the Flames have been trying to sign an Offensive D Man. (Schneider, 2nd, Mikkelson)

Phil Kessel 20
1)Huge amount of untapped offensive ability, Learning defensively, Could be a skilled Andy Mac type?
2) 850k
3) Plenty of depth with Bergeron, Savard, as well as Axelsson
4)The Bruins have also been rumored in need of an Offensive D man.
